Virginia Hansen

Virginia D. (Dahlstrom) Hansen, 91, went to the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 26 2015, at her home in Libby. She was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Jan. 25, 1924, to Charles and Ina Dahlstrom. She attended school through eighth grade at Grouse Creek school near Sandpoint and attended Sandpoint High school through 11th grade and graduated the following year from Scobey High School. She had made the promise to her mother she would graduate if she was allowed to marry Mylo. 

Virginia was married to Mylo W. Hansen On July 31, 1941. In 1954, they moved their family to Libby, where Mylo would work at the local mill until he retired. Virginia was a housewife, caring for their five children. She was a great seamstress and a great cook. She was very involved in Christ Lutheran Church, the food pantry and Sons of Norway. She was preceded in death by her husband Mylo In 2002. 

She is survived by her five children, daughter Vernie Tiwater, son Lonnie Hansen, son Fritz Hansen, daughter Beth Hansen and daughter Edie Hansen; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.  Services will be at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. Inurnment and burial will be held at Pack River Cemetery, Pack River, Idaho, at a later date.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
