The way we were

Letter to the Editor:

The way we were, when mothers were mothers and fathers were fathers. In those days, children were just that, children.

We knew how to keep evil at bay in those days. Until one day phony religion came along telling us to pray for evil and to forgive evil, pray for your enemies.

I don’t think America can ever go back to the way we were. We have been corrupted by evil, by progress of the wrong kind. Now it’s everything goes, a river of no return.

We will always yearn to go back to the way we were.
