Tyler Allen Ruhter, 32, blessed the world on Sept. 9, 1983, at Tacoma, Wash. On Sept. 9, 2015, he was peacefully lifted to Heaven’s doors at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Tyler enjoyed many activities in the outdoors, but his true passions were hunting and trapping wild game. He believed in an honest day’s work and valued being a provider for his family. He was known throughout the community for lending a helping hand to anyone who was in need. Regardless if it was family, friend or stranger, Tyler would gladly give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it.  

He was a veteran, spending three years serving in the United States Army. He achieved the rank of specialist and was a construction engineer. He served his country honorably at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Tyler married his high school sweetheart, Erin Kelly Nelson (Ruhter)  Aug. 24, 2002.  

Survivors include his wife Erin Ruhter; three beautiful children, Kayden, Garrick and Audrey of Libby; parents  Lynn Ruhter of Fairfield, Idaho and Lisa Hoekema-Larimer of Libby; two brothers, Levi Panting currently serving at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. and Cameron Ruhter of Libby.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at the Libby Christian Church. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
