W.F. Morrison Elementary in Troy received a number of upgrades this summer in preparation for the new school year.

The entryway of the school was remodeled. The entryway has new benches, carpet and a brand new paint job.

The hallways have a new look to them as well. In each hallway there is a flower painted by the kid’s lockers with a mirror.

“We did research into what the average height is for each grade level and painted a flower to match the average height,” Diane Rewerts, the elementary school principal said. “Each grade level now has that near their lockers.”

During recess the students of W.F. Morrison Elementary now have a new playground to play on.

“We are very happy with the updates at the elementary,” Rewerts said. “The kids are excited about the new playground and the updates in the school. It’s a great environment here and we will continue to look for ways to improve the school.”
