Marleone Bremer

| September 4, 2015 9:08 AM

Marleone Bremer passed away on Aug. 29, 2015, of natural causes in Kalispell. She was brought into this world on April 18, 1942, in Pasadena, Calif., to adoring parents Fred and Maxine Van Zandt. Marleone graduated from Mark Kemple High School in 1960.

She married Fred Bremer in 1967, where she went from one child to five children within a matter of weeks at the young age of 24. She raised all five girls with Fred’s help. In 1976, the family moved from Los Angeles, Calif., to Montana to fulfill a dream of the young family to live off the land. They bought a house, five acres and all the animals to go with it, goats, pigs, horses and sheep. That was the happiest time of Marle’s life. She had the big garden, the cow to milk and the life she had always dreamed of. She was milking her own cows, making butter and canning all her own veggies and food. After the marriage ended she moved to Missoula and began a new life. She really lived life to the fullest.  In 2003, she moved to Libby to be closer to her mother.  She resided there until her passing.

Marleone was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Maxine Van Zandt and a grandson, Wayne Buckley.

Survivors include her five daughters, Brenda Buckley (Wayne), Bonnie Bremer (James),  Juli Schroeder (Shane McMahon), Beckie Shippen (Ted) and Tammy Robins (Todd); eight grandchildren and her good friend and caregiver Mykaya Fairchild.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall in Libby on Sept. 26, 2015, at 6 p. m. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
