Jeremy Thorstenson was assaulted near the corner of Mineral Avenue and Third Street in Libby Aug. 14, in front of a crowd of people gathered for the Ignite the Nites cruise, yet police say no witnesses have come forward regarding the incident.

Thorstenson said he has suffered severe physical trauma from the assault.

“I also have skull and face fractures,” he said. “My head is like a shattered windshield. I have suffered memory loss and brain bleeding that has caused very intense headaches so bad it put me in the emergency room in Libby twice during the last week.”

Libby Police Sergeant Terry Watson is investigating the case. Watson said there are a lot of people talking about the assault, but nobody has come forward as a witness.

“There has been a lot of talk about this, stuff on Facebook, et cetera,” Watson said. “But not one single person has called me about it. We need people who saw this to come forward.”

Watson asked for anyone with information to call either the Libby Police Department at 293-3343 or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 293-4112.

Thorstenson also pleaded for witnesses to come forward.

“Please, if you have any information that can lead to the arrest of the man who almost ended my life, please come forward,” he said.
