Activities abound at senior center
A host of dining and entertainment options are on the Libby Senior Center calendar for November, although the center will be closed Nov. 25, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Card players are welcome every Wednesday, as visitors enjoy a variety of different card games with friends and neighbors. Cribbage games are scheduled from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. every Thursday afternoon. Fridays feature pinochle at 7 p.m., with bingo capping off each week’s activities at 7 p.m. every Saturday.
In addition to the regular schedule of activities, the senior center board meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. The foot care and blood pressure clinic is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 19.
The center serves dinner at 5 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday evening and lunch each Wednesday from 11 p.m. until 1 p.m. Dinners are served at 5 p.m. The salad bar is open Tuesday and Friday before dinner at 4:30 p.m. Patrons requiring home delivery are asked to call 293-7222 before noon on Tuesday and Friday for dinner and before 9 a.m. Wednesday for lunch delivery.
Tuesday, Nov. 3: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar, cinnamon roll cake.
Wednesday, Nov. 4: Hot dog, chili, salad, cookies.
Friday, Nov. 6: Spaghetti, garlic bread, vegetable, salad bar, dessert.
Tuesday, Nov. 10: Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, biscuits, salad bar, cake and ice cream.
Wednesday, Nov. 11: Grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, salad, cookies.
Friday, Nov. 13: Pork roast, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar, dessert.
Tuesday, Nov. 17: Country-fried steak, beans and rice, vegetable, biscuits, salad bar, dessert.
Wednesday, Nov. 18: Hamburger, cream of broccoli soup, salad, cookies.
Friday, Nov. 20: Turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar, dessert.
Tuesday, Nov. 24: Meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dinner rolls, salad bar, tapioca pudding
Wednesday, Nov. 25: Closed for Thanksgiving.
Friday, Nov. 27: Closed for Thanksgiving.
