Sept. 3

• A woman on Pioneer Road called to report a person for peering into her window.

• A man on Albert Way reported an attempted break-in of his vehicle. The would-be thief left a screwdriver in the door.

• A caller reported a traffic accident on Pipe Creek Road. A vehicle appeared to be stuck in a ditch, but everything was OK, the man was just out looking for his dog.

• A woman from Cox Lane reported receiving a call from an individual claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service. The woman was told if she called anyone agents would be at her house to arrest her within 45 minutes.

• A caller on U.S. Highway 37 reported two horses loose on the road.

• A caller on Iron Grouse Road reported finding a mixed breed puppy. Animal control was notified.

• A caller from Colorado Avenue notified authorities he took a knife away from a suspicious-looking juvenile.

• A man from Vanderwood Road reported that his neighbor had been in his barn, but then said he didn’t see the neighbor in the barn and didn’t want to sign a complaint.

• A woman called to report her husband took her debit card without permission. She tracked him down to a local casino.

• A woman on Vanderwood called to report her husband keeps turning off the power and was calling her names.

• A caller from Skyline Road reported a fraudulent call from a person posing as the Internal Revenue Service.

• A woman on McMillan Mountain Road reported receiving multiple suspected fraud calls about her 11-year-old son winning prizes and being qualified for a loan.

• A man on Reese Court called to report his ex for trespassing and causing property damage.

• A caller reported the theft of $100 from a vehicle, suspected it could have happened at a number of locations in Libby.

• A minor traffic accident was reported at Em Kayan Village. The parties exchanged insurance information.

• An officer was requested at the Fireman’s Park campground to check out a suspicous invidivual.

• A caller on Champion Haul Road called to report two dogs were chasing livestock.

 

Sept. 4

• A caller on Trainer Street reported a neighbor for feeding deer.

• A woman on Curley Creek Road reported the theft of her and her daughter’s clothing.

• A man on Pipe Creek Road called to report a dead bear in his yard.

• A woman was arrested for driving under the influence on Pipe Creek Road near Plum Creek.

• A man called from a local motel to report he had an argument with his girlfriend and she took off on foot. He called back to report her return.

• A woman on Tamarack Lane called to report receiving threatening text messages.

 

Sept. 5

• A woman went into the Sheriff’s Office to report a homeless man sleeping in the smokeshack near a local bar.

• A woman called 911 to ask an officer to call her regarding a previous complaint.

• A woman on Lincoln Boulevard called to report witnessing a domestic dispute in which the female half nearly ran over the male half before speeding away in her car.

• A caller reported a child playing in an area parking lot in the direct line of traffic. Officers were unable to locate the child or any witnesses claiming to have seen the child.

• A caller reported losing his wallet somewhere between Libby and Kalispell and wanted to see if it had been turned in to law enforcement.

• A caller from Agather Road reported an individual for camping on private property. Officers warned the individual, who left the property.

• A man on Vanderwood Drive was arrested for domestic assault after his wife called and reported he had been huffing and attacked her.

 

Sept. 6

• The manager of a local motel called to report several cars had been broken into during the night.

• A woman called to report a suspicious male in a black hoodie digging into the side of a hill near U.S. Highway 2.

• A caller on Swamp Creek reported locating a vehicle suspected to be stolen. Officers confirmed vehicle was stolen from West Virginia, but unable to locate.

• A caller reported possible drug activity on Holly Drive.

• A caller on Westgate Avenue reported a bear with three cubs in the area for the second night in a row.

 

Sept. 7

• A caller on Kootenai River Road reported her daughter was beaten up by her boyfriend.

• A woman on Idaho Avenue reported she thinks someone has been entering her apartment and going through her belongings.

• A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic accident near a local gas station.

• A woman on Reese Court called to report a bear in her tree.

• A caller requested to speak with a deputy about an eviction notice, the caller was concerned about the tenant’s dog.

• A person from Obsidian Road called 911 to get the number for the U.S. Forest Service.

• A caller on Parmenter reported a suspicious person at the residence.

• A caller reported a vehicle in a ditch near mile marker two on Solo Joe Road.

• A caller reported a person cutting firewood on Plum Creek land.

• A caller on Third Street reported a domestic disturbance. The parties were separated for the evening.

• A woman on Balsam reported a person for running over her mailbox, she was unable to get a description of the vehicle.

• A woman reported the theft of her purse from a Lincoln County bar.
