The Lady Loggers soccer team ended their season and homecoming week with their strongest performance of the year, kicking their way to a 4-4 draw against Bigfork.

Bigfork opened strong, with a Mattie McNally goal in the second minute of play to take an early lead, but the Lady Loggers stormed back quickly on the sure foot of Anna Carlson.

Carlson was the cornerstone of Libby’s offense in the game, playing a part in all four of the team’s goals. She got the ball rolling for the girls, scoring the tying goal in the third minute of play with an assist from Dani Hawthorne. She assisted on two goals by Annie Berget, in the 14th minute and 30th minute, and then scored the team’s fourth and final goal to bring the score back to a tie on a corner kick in the 72nd minute.

Bigfork’s Katie Thomas, assisted by Ally Pancoast, scored in the 10th minute. Pancoast also assisted on a Haile Mirren goal in the 45th minute. McNally, in addition to the opener, scored again in the 51st minute. Both McNally goals were assisted by Georgia Cleasby.

Shannon Reny continued to dominate the net, contributing 10 saves to the Lady Loggers’ effort.
