Anniversary Bob and Betty Sanders of Troy

Bob and Betty Sanders of Troy are celebrating 60 years of marriage this week. They were married Nov. 25, 1955, at Troy Methodist Church. Bob is a life-long Troy resident, growing up on the family ranch in the Iron Creek Valley and working in logging and trucking until his retirement. Betty (formerly Warman) moved to Troy from Springfield, Mo., in 1954 and was active in the community for many years, including serving as an election judge.
Bob and Betty’s family includes son and daughter-in-law Joe and Diane Sanders, currently living in Mumbai, India; granddaughter Malia Sanders, of Port Angeles, Wash.; grandson Taylor Sanders, of Spokane, Wash.; and Bob’s sister, Lois Smeltzer, of Wenatchee, Wash.
