Letter to the Editor:

The members of the Lincoln County Veterans Memorial Foundation would like to extend a sincere thank you to all that attended our Veterans Day ceremony. You braved the early time and the weather to honor those who have served this country. It just goes to show how this community continues to take care of its own.

We also thank Congressman Ryan Zinke for sharing his kind thoughts about the people of Libby. We were honored to have him travel many, many miles to celebrate Veterans Day with us, and in turn we honor his service to our country.

The Lincoln County Veterans Memorial Foundation has been overwhelmed by the support that we have received to make this monument a reality. From the day the first shovel of soil was moved we have had folks always at the ready to help. We wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
