Cabinet Peaks Medical Center has announced the return of Scott Lacefield to the staff of the hospital. He is now seeing patients at the hospital’s walk-in clinic.

Lacefield is not new to the area. He was raised in the northwest and earned his Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine. He lived and worked in Libby for five years before moving to a different clinic in Bonners Ferry.

“It is great to be back in Libby and working for Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in the walk-in clinic and emergency department,” Lacefield said in a press release issued by the hospital. “It’s a tight-knit, slower paced community, which is perfect for my family and me.”

Lacefield will be working with long-time provider, fellow P.A. Tony Fantozzi. The walk-in clinic is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., seven days per week. Appointments are accepted for Wednesdays, with Fantozzi and Lacefield rotating the weeks.

“We are totally thrilled that Scott is back in the community and providing care to our patients at the clinic,” said hospital marketing director Kate Stephens. “We’re glad to be able to offer visits by appointment one day per week and expand our services to the community.”
