Oct. 20

• A caller reported a vehicle broken into at a hotel.

• Montana Highway Patrol reported one-vehicle traffic accident on Highway 2. Libby Volunteer Fire Department and Libby Volunteer Ambulance responded.

• A caller at Wapiti Avenue reported a person knocking at his door every four to five nights.

• A caller on Highway 93 complained about a rabbit.

• A caller at Mahoney and Education Way reported a two-vehicle traffic accident. Pioneer Towing responded.

• A caller from Timber Lane reported a theft out of his garage. The caller has a game camera and told law enforcement that he would get pictures.

• A caller at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center said he fell and drove himself to the emergency room, was sitting out back and needed help getting into the emergency room. Dispatch called the emergency room and had the people on duty retrieve the caller.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at Conifer and Mongtomery driving up and down the side roads and sitting at the school. The caller was advised that a male lives in her area and is seen driving everywhere, and that officers are aware of his driving habits. The caller told officers the plates were expired on the driver’s van.

• A missing person was reported on Highway 2. The caller said her husband was released from the hospital the day before. She said he was having dizzy spells, uses a cane to walk, and had an appointment with their pastor at 3 p.m., but couldn’t be found. The caller was concerned that her husband fell outside somewhere. A neighbor saw him behind the house earlier. The husband was given a ride to town and pulled back into the driveway.

• A caller on Highway 2 reported a youth walking along the side of the road swinging a sword, and wasn’t sure if the sword was real or a toy.

• A resident on Bull Lake Road called 911, asking for a man and a woman at her house to be removed. The two left before police arrived, and the woman was advised to call if they returned.

• A caller on Pioneer Road reported someone knocking on her door.  The caller stated she didn’t know who it was, but thought they left and were on foot. Police found nobody at the house and said they would continue to check the area.

 

Oct. 22

• A caller at Utah Avenue reported her vehicle broken into and her purse stolen.

• A caller at Woodland Extension Road reported their vehicle broken into and their purse stolen. The purse was found with no money in it.

• A caller on Mineral Avenue reported a shoplifter in their store the day before.

• A caller at Minnesota Avenue reported a cell phone found and said they would hold onto it, as it could  belong to one of their customers.

• A caller at Sinclair Creek Road reported two llamas running loose on the road. Eureka dispatch responded.

• A caller on Main Avenue reported someone left their teeth in the caller’s office. The caller said they would bring the teeth to the Sheriff’s Office, but didn’t.

• An anonymous caller reported people stripping a house at Spencer Road while the owner was not home.

• An alarm went off at a local business. Police called the business phone, but the employee didn’t know why the alarm went off. The alarm company confirmed that it was a false alarm.

• A local business employee reported an eight- or nine-month-old baby in a car with keys in it and the window rolled down. The registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license, so authorities sent someone to pick up the driver and the baby.

• A caller on Manor Drive reported their minor child received mail from a 40-year-old woman. The mother was concerned where and how he made contact with the woman. 

• A caller reported a dog chasing a deer on Conifer. Authorities adviced Animal Control of the animals at large.

• A caller on East Spruce St reported a man at her door and said she did not want him there.

• A driver at Highway 2 and Hartman Trailer Court was cited for passing a school bus.

• A caller reported child abuse on Wards Rd and requested someone to check on the welfare of two children.

• A caller reported a flatbed trailer pulled off to the side of Pete Creek Road about 15 miles up the Yaak.

• A caller at Main Avenue requested officer assistance with their daughter’s neighbor over a cat.

· A caller on City Service Road dialed 911 and reported shots fired near the David Thompson Search and Rescue barn.

· A caller on East 10th St reported a male walked into his house to talk to him about a gun and a woman.

 

Oct. 23

· A 32-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence near a local convenience store on Highway 2.

· A caller on Dakota Avenue reported several stolen outdoor rugs. The culprit stole one rug, then came back two nights later and stole two more.

· A caller on Autumn Road reported getting emails for Santa’s Secret Shopper. She received a check and tried to cash it at the post office, but was advised that it was a scam. The woman blocked future emails.

· Dispatch received two calls about bear cubs on the Walking Path and Spencer Road. The situation was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

· A caller on Dawson reported she found used drug paraphernalia and would like someone to pick it up.

· A caller on Woodland Heights Road reported being harassed by his neighbor. The parties were separated by responding officers.
