Sincere thanks to a community of people who care

Letter to the Editor:

I want to thank anyone and everyone who helped last Tuesday afternoon when I took a header out of Rosauers. I was completely unaware of anything until I came to in the ambulance on the way to the hospital for tests and cleanup.

The tests revealed a concussion and nasal fracture, no wonder I was a bit loony for a while. I heard that Steve had come out of the store and helped but have no idea who else was involved. If it included you, please accept my sincere thanks.

The store was great, they saved my groceries and even replaced all the perishable things with new ones when my friends went to pick them up and retrieve my car later. When I got home I even had a call from Scott Erickson to ask if I needed anything.

What kind and caring people we have at our local stores. You wouldn’t get that in a big city.

I looked like I had been on the losing end of a pretty good boxing match for a while, but the nurse at the hospital assured me that facial wounds heal quickly and I am already looking more normal. Thanks too, to all the good people in the emergency room at our local hospital. We are so lucky to have this facility to take care of people who have accidents like this.

I must include in my thanks all my good friends who have been checking on me all this week. Friends sure make life worth living when you are 3,000 miles from family.

Thanks to everyone.

Barbara Tripp,
