County releases list of eateries in compliance with new rules

New food regulations designed to update state and county health codes to be in compliance with federal health codes went into effect in January of this year and required every establishment have a certified food protection manager on staff by Jan. 1, 2016. Lincoln County’s health department has announced that so far, 110 individuals from 66 eateries have passed the certification course.

“The Lincoln County Health Department is pleased to inform the public that 110 individuals representing 66 licensed establishments in Lincoln County have passed the ServSafe Food Protection Managers course and recently certified as food protection managers,” county environmental health specialist Jennifer Nelson wrote in an Oct. 30 press release.
