• A woman called dispatch to request officers drive through a local trailer park because her dog kept barking. She suspected suspicious activity, but responding officers were unable to locate anything amiss.
• A man on Highway 2 West reported someone smashed the window of his car with a rock and took his wallet, including credit and debit cards along with more than $120 in cash.
• A caller reported loose mules or donkeys in Em Kayan Village.
• A woman called for assistance in removing her personal property from her mother’s home after her mother kicked her out and locked all the doors. Officers spoke with both parties and helped arrange a mediator.
• A vehicle was reported off the road and requiring a tow near Haul Road.
• A woman called to complain about a neighbor threatening to shoot her husband’s dog. The husband walks the dog past the neighbor’s house every morning and the neighbor’s chihuahuas bark, irritating the neighbor.
• A woman called from a local convenience store to see if anyone had turned in her husband’s wallet.
• A woman on Evans Road called to complain about her neighbors “mechanicing” all day and night, keeping her awake with their noise.
• A caller in Troy reported a horse chained to a tree and not being properly fed nor watered.
• A man reported the theft of his road dust sign from a private road behind his property.
• A caller in Eureka reported buying a motorcycle frame and noticed the VIN had been removed.
• A woman from Glen Lake called to report her neighbors put up a fence along the property line which prevents her from accessing her property.
• A woman called from a local casino to report the theft of her cell phone. She indicated casino security cameras could possibly have captured the crime.
• A man on Bowker Street reported the theft of a harness and rope from his truck.
• An employee of a local pawn shop came into the Sheriff’s Office to speak with a deputy after finding what she thought to be drugs in the parking lot.
• A fire was reported approximately five miles up Thompson River Road.
• A man brought a wallet to the Sheriff’s Office he found near the Kootenai River.
• A caller reported four suspicious vehicles driving on the walking path behind the Port Authority. One of the vehicles was stuck and a tow truck was notified.
• A woman on Montana Avenue reported her son was bitten by her neighbor’s dog.
• A woman reported her car was broken into while at a softball game.
• A man called dispatch to report receiving a message on his computer that read “Help me” while watching YouTube. He was unsure of the source of the message.
May 7
• A person came into the Sheriff’s Office to report an online scam.
• A person reported losing a checkbook with credit cards inside on Main Avenue.
• An anonymous tipster reported a camera stolen from Libby Care Center was at a local business. The report turned out to be unfounded.
• A woman reported her ex-husband’s girlfriend took her kids to Troy without permission.
• A man reported his drunk ex took a vehicle he had borrowed to go to chemical dependency treatment. The vehicle was located at the owner’s residence and no complaint was filed.
• A woman on Minnesota Avenue called to report a drunk woman in her shed, she didn’t want to file charges, just wanted the drunk woman removed. The trespasser was taken to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center but walked out without being seen or treated.
• A man called twice to complain about his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. He didn’t want an officer to respond on the first call, but did on the second. Officers responded to his reported location but were unable to locate the complainant.
• A caller on Forest Avenue called to report loud music.
• A caller reported a woman passed out behind the wheel of a car in a local business parking lot. Officers responded, the woman was sleeping while her son was shopping inside.
• A caller reported a homeless man was camping at McGrade School. Officers responded and provided the man with a hotel voucher.
