Peggy Burdick
Peggy A. Burdick, 74, died May 19 at the Libby Care Center. Peggy was born at Midway, Tenn., to Henry Orland and Claudia Mae Barnes and was raised and educated at Greeneville, Tenn.
She and her husband Allen had been longtime residents of DeKalb, Ill., where she had been employed in quality control for the Turner Corporation. She later returned to school where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving in that and various other capacities at a local nursing care facility.
She and her husband had visited northwest Montana on vacation which she enjoyed because it reminded her of her home in Tennessee; they came to Libby to permanently reside a decade ago. She enjoyed traveling and, as a life-long learner, was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband Allen; her children, Beth Gahlbeck and Steven Burdick; her grandchildren, Miriah, Robert, Thomas, Vanessa, Aryelle, Chalice and Devan and as 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday, May 27 in Libby. Services in Illinois will take place at a later date. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
