Edward Feak

Edward Charles Feak, 60, passed on Monday, May 18, 2015, at his home in Libby of natural causes.  He was born March 10, 1955, in Seattle, Wash., to Charles Lloyd Feak and Louraine Eleanor Geer.  Edward was raised lovingly by his stepfather Jim Dale Hammell of Pierre, S.D. and Louraine. He graduated from Stanley County High School, Fort Pierre, S.D. in 1972 and attended Anoka Technical College in Anoka, Minn.

Edward married Cynthia Quenzer and two sons were born; Paul Trevor Feak and James Arthur Feak.  He married Carmen and resided in Libby with his beloved wife and extended family for 34 years.

Edward was preceded in death by his biological father Lloyd Feak and brother Lloyd Arthur Feak, and stepchildren Tina and Sabrina McMillan. 

Ed was always inquisitive and incessantly creating some apparatus to make life more enjoyable. He worked in mining and also worked in Iraq. He enjoyed the Montana great outdoors, fishing and prospecting, was an incredible cook and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and friend to all who crossed his path.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Carmen Feak of Libby; brother,  James Lee Feak, Wasilla, Alaska; sister Sandra Rae McGruder (Leo), Pierre, S.D., and  brother Tyler Joe Hammell (Lena), Chamberlain, S.D.;  two children, Paul Trevor Feak, Sioux Falls, S.D. and James Arthur Feak (Stacey), Omaha, Neb.;  stepdaughter Corinna Whitaker;  six grandchildren, Leo, Sadie and Lane Feak and Casey, Jessica and  Kaywin and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Monday, May 25 at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.  Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, at the City of Libby Cemetery.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
