Charles Lotan

Charles D. Lotan, 80, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Libby Care Center.  He was born on September 6, 1934 in Hughenden, Alta., to John and Juanita Lotan.  He grew up and attended school in Tacoma, Wash.  He lived most of his life in Morton, Wash. 

Charles started driving a logging truck at an early age and continued driving until the 1990s, when he retired.  He moved to Libby in 1995 to be near his daughter.  He enjoyed working on cars.  When his daughter was in high school he built her a car from scratch.  He overhauled the motor and painted it pink just for her.

Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Wilson, Libby, and Chuck Lotan;  a brother, John Lotan, Marysville, Wash.; a sister Anita Lotan, Wash.,  and grandchildren Michael Wilson, Phoenix, Ariz.,  and Nathan Lotan, Lewistown and two great-grandchildren.
