Barbara Ann Clemons

Barbara Ann Clemons died peacefully at age 63 on May 11, 2015, in Libby. Barb was born February 29, 1952, in Kalispell to Joy and Frank Seaford and resided in Libby throughout her life. Barbara’s only sister preceded her in death along with her parents.

Family, friends, and animals were among Barbara’s lifetime passions, and she spent countless hours volunteering her time with Kootenai Pets for Life. She loved spending time outdoors working in her flower gardens and wandering around in the woods picking berries or whatever else interested her. She enjoyed taking weekend adventures with her friends; whether it was just a drive up the river or looking for her annual Christmas tree. Barbara’s summer trips to the Oregon coast were something she always looked forward to and talked about often.

Barbara’s pet pigs and many rescue cats were some of her most beloved treasures, and they certainly had a place in her heart.  Even though Barbara’s years were cut short, she always had a way of finding the blessings in some of the most difficult situations, and continually put the needs of others in front of her own.  

Barbara is survived by her two children Justin Clemons of Libby and Michelle Gethon of Colstrip; grandchildren, Kelsie Fletcher, Brady Negethon, Sidney and Alli Clemons and great- grandson Hunter Ator. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home on May 14 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., and there will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Friday May 15, 2015, at the City of Libby Cemetery.
