Robert L. Maupin

Robert L. Maupin, 54, died Saturday, May 9, at his residence in Libby following a battle with lung disease. He was born in Metaline Falls, Wash., to Walter Maupin and Donna (Moulton) Maupin on March 30, 1961. He came to Libby with his family in 1968 where he attended school. 

For many years, he worked as a logger and in other timber-related occupations, including the Forest Service as well as a firefighter. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed the Montana great outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family. You could find him at The Mint visiting friends.

 He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Connie McKern.

Surviving him are his mother and step-father, Donna and Mike Webb of Libby; his brother and sisters, Ron (Sandy) Maupin of Libby, LeAnn Maupin of Post Falls, Idaho, Robbie Terry and husband Dee of Colville, Wash. and Jodi Larson of Post Falls, Idaho; nieces and nephews Davey, Brett, Kerri, Kent, Lindsey, DeAnna, Alyssa, Trevor and Aspen as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
