Charles D. Lotan

Charles D. Lotan, 80, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2015, at Libby Care Center. He was born on Sept. 6, 1934, in Hughenden, Alberta, Canada, to John and Juanita Lotan. He grew up and attended school in Tacoma, Wash.  He lived most of his life in Morton, Wash. 

Charles started driving a logging truck at an early age and continued driving until the 90s when he retired.  He moved to Libby in 1995 to be near his daughter. He enjoyed working on cars. When his daughter was in high school he built her a car from scratch. He overhauled the motor and painted it pink just for her.

Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Wilson of Libby and Chuck Lotan; brother John Lotan of Marysville, Wash.; sister Anita Lotan of Washington; grandchildren Michael Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Nathan Lotan of Lewistown and two great-grandchildren.
