Time for a change in Libby
Letter to the Editor:
Well, what do you know?
Finally it has been brought to someone’s attention about the rip-off the City of Libby is pulling on the water users in Libby.
I recently had to pay a bill of $1,026 for a renter of mine that I evicted after not paying rent for six months. The city shut their water off last May and never notified. The tenant cut the lock off and kept using the water. Don’t they check their meters when water is going through it?
Last year, I went through a similar problem and got stuck with a $750 bill.
Where is the justice here?
Most of the businesses inside the city limits are owned by people who live outside the city limits. We don’t get a say in what goes on in the city, even though pay substantial taxes and bills like the people who live in the city but don’t get to vote in city elections.
Is this fair? I don’t think so. Something needs to change.
