April events at the Lincoln County libraries
The Lincoln County public libraries are offering an abundance of activities in April.
Each of the libraries offers weekly story time for preschool children. In Libby story time is held at 10 a.m. every Tuesday. Troy’s story time is at 11:15 a.m. on Friday and Eureka hosts the preschoolers at 11:30 a.m. each Thursday.
The Troy library hosts chess games every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Boards and sets are available, but participants are encouraged to bring one as well.
The library is kicking off its Ninth Annual Poetry Contest April 1 and entries must be received before closing time April 30. There is no theme this year, so aspiring poets can go in whichever direction their muse takes them. Entries are, however, limited to 30 lines. The contest will be judged by Montana’s Poet Laureate Tami Haaland.
