The Libby Loggers traveled Seattle this past weekend. The Spanaway Lake Monsters tripped up the Loggers by the score of 7-1. The Loggers couldn’t get out of their own way committing seven errors in the contest.

Jared Winslow drove in the Loggers lone run with an RBI double in the third inning. Winslow’s RBI double tied the game at one.

Winslow reached base twice and also got the start for the Loggers on the mound. The Monsters were unable to figure him out. He gave up zero hits and recorded five strikeouts during his two innings of work.

Collin Johnson, Erik Lauer and Braydan Thom collected the other three hits for the Loggers.

Johnson and Trace Tamarro both pitched scoreless innings for the Loggers. Tamarro recorded two strikeouts in his one inning of work.

The Loggers gave up just four hits, but committed seven errors. The Monsters scored three runs on two Loggers errors in the third inning. They followed up the three run fourth inning with a two run fifth inning that put the game out of reach for the Loggers.

The Loggers have a busy week ahead of them. They have a home game Wednesday night at Lee Gehring Field against the Capital Senators. This weekend they will play host to the Big Buck$ Tournament in Libby. The Loggers will kick the tournament off Thursday, June 25 against the Moscow Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m.
