Roll's shameful actions are childish and ridiculous

Generally, most people learn from their mistakes. However, it seems Mayor Roll doesn’t get the message. One would think the public embarrassment over the last election issue would be enough to stop him from trying to fix the elections. I am personally offended and appalled that he does not believe the voters of Libby can decide for themselves who to vote into office. Voting is our personal right and the freedom of choice is also ours.

I am sick of being badgered by his mouth and his efforts to manipulate the citizens of Libby. He has badmouthed fellow councilors and potential council candidates; he has held secret meetings; he has been rude and used bullying tactics on some of us who attempted to speak during public time at council meetings; he has brought our town embarrassment by his arrogant attitude, public defiance and remarks; and now he would like us all to believe we are all dumber than posts when it comes to voting, so he will fix that, too.

Now I ask Mr. Roll, please explain your latest ploy in running for a city council position while you are mayor? I don’t have a manipulative mind so I can’t figure it out. Do you feel you will be able to take away votes from those you dislike by gathering those votes for yourself, or do you feel you can gain a council position and then vacate your mayoral position? Then the council would need to appoint a mayor and you will likely be re-appointed as mayor leaving a vacancy on the council. You then can manipulate a new council to choose someone of your like-mindedness. Frankly, I really don’t get it and while you and your advisors may think you are clever and ingenious, I find your ploy to be childish and dishonest.

Mr. Roll, do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound when you say you don’t want any votes, but by running you want to make sure three other council candidates don’t get elected. And by the way, you were very demeaning to those three by calling them names. That’s a mark of a great leader.

Come on folks, wake up and stand up. I personally want my vote to be mine and to be cast for eligible and responsible people, not one that will be lost by under handed and manipulative politics.

Mr. Roll, back off. Let the citizenry decide who they want. I may be disappointed or disagree with their choices, but it will be their choice and I respect that.
