Jo Fore

| January 27, 2015 7:45 AM

Jo E. Fore, 75, of Libby, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at her home.  She was born April 16, 1939 in Collinsville, Ill., to Hugh and Stella B. (Perky) Miller. Jo was raised in Collinsville and later moved to San Diego, Calif., where she met her husband, Billy Fore. They were married in November 1967.

After her husband was discharged from the Navy, they eventually settled in Libby, where she had and raised her two daughters. Jo was very involved in the Presbyterian Church where she played the piano, organ and sang in the choir for many years. After the church closed its doors, she became involved with the United Methodist Church. Jo was a selfless woman who put her family above her own needs. Even in the end, she thought more about others than herself. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Adams; and her husband, Billy L. Fore.

Survivors include her daughters Rebecca McLaughlin and husband, Lucas and Elizabeth Smith and husband, Daniel; grandsons Robert Aiken and Azariah Smith; sisters Betty Check and Susan Hughs; brothers Roscoe Miller and David Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Jo will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Libby. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Libby.  Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
