Daniel Rayson

Daniel Ellsworth Rayson, 70, Tacoma, Washington, passed away Feb. 19, 2015, at Allenmore Hopsital in Tacoma, Wash., from an extended illness.

Dan was born Aug. 4, 1944 in Libby. He attended schools in Libby and was involved in multiple sports. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Coast Guard.

Dan, over the course of his life, held many jobs, including logging with his brothers. He was also an ordained minister and had a passion for sharing Jesus with those who were bound by addictions.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Calvin “Kelly” Rayson; his mother Elaine Rayson, and brother Ardon “Kelly” Rayson.

Dan is survived by two sisters and a brother, Arlene Reynolds, Katie “Kathy” Scharen, and Clayton Rayson, all of Libby. He is also survived by his wife Jodene of Tacoma, Wash.; son Kelly of Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughter Vicki of Nebraska; stepsons Rocky and Ben and stepdaughter Danielle, all of Tacoma, Wash.; sister-in-law, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
