June Burns

A long-time resident of Montana, June Sanders Burns, 90, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in her home in Troy. She was born June Frances Sanders in Potlatch, Idaho on June 1, 1924. Her parents, Henry and Lavina Sanders (deceased), raised their family on a ranch south of Troy on Iron Creek.

June lived a full life, loving and serving her family, church and community. She was preceded in death by her son, Jim, and husband, Earl.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Sanders of Troy; her sister, Lois Smeltzer Wenatchee, Wash.; four children, Mark Burns of Troy, Marcia Burns Liske of Pasadena, Calif., Marianne Burns Robison of Medford, Ore. and Jeff Burns of Fox Island, Wash.; four grandchildren, Claire Burns, Ian Burns and Trevor Robison of Seattle, Wash. and Dorian Robison of New York City, N.Y.  

A photographic retrospective will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21, in the sanctuary of the Troy United Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. and fellowship hour at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to hospice care (Home Options, 313 Montana Ave., Libby, MT 59923) in her memory.
