Letter to the Editor:

A thank you to the emergency volunteers this wondrous Christmas season and always!

For the many sacrifices, in stormy weather, ice, heat, cold, rain, wind and mud. Any time of the day or night they need to be prepared. Yet, they still need a job. There are events, family times, they at times miss.

No one is ever prepared emotionally for a tragedy, where each minute counts. Those minutes stretch endlessly in a crisis.

Thank you for laying down your lives, being willing to step in the front line for so many. 

We are grateful! May you have a blessed family holiday season.
