William Rollins

65, of Libby

William “Billy” Rollins was born Sept. 17, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served proudly. Many experiences presented themselves along Billy’s life journey. One of these is the time he spent riding the rails. Another is the time he spent travelling the country on the back of his hog. There is not enough time to mention them all.

Billy took his final breath in the early hours of Nov. 5, 2015. He is remembered through the brotherhood of veterans, hobos and scooter tramps nationwide.

To sum up his life in one word is easy. That word is freedom.

The next time you see a biker riding down the road or you hear the lonely whistle of that midnight train, remember my brother and friend. Billy, you are missed and will never be forgotten.

“I had fun, wonderful people and adventures that I loved. I was truly blessed to have such a rich life. I loved my life and I know I was very lucky.” - Billy.
