Virginia Scott

Virginia E. Scott, 82, died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby. She was born on June 2, 1933, at Phoenixville, Penn., to George Carl and Blanch James Poper. She spent most of her life in Honeybrook, Penn., and moved to Libby in February 4, 2015, to be near her daughter. She went to school in Paoli, Penn.

Virginia loved to bowl and won trophies, enjoyed watching football, especially the Eagles, gardening, bird watching and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Lee DeLong; great-grandson Manuel Huddleston, and all six of her siblings, Helen, Evelyn, Loretta, George Carl, Jr., Eugene and Robert and her parents.

Survivors include her daughters Donna Huddleston, Libby, Kelly Jo McCarraher (Greg), Coatesville, Penn.; sons James Robert Garrett (Laura), Bill DeLong, Michael DeLong and James DeLong; grandchildren Andrew, Rebekah, Rachel, Naomi, Calab, Leah, Levi, Belinda Rogers (Joe), Daniel Huddleston, DeLaina Mitchell, Chris DeLong, Austin DeLong, Logan DeLong, Hudson DeLong, Chelsea Dreielbis, Megan McCarraher (Chris Evans) and Greg McCarraher; great-grandchildren Makayla, Traybeon, Jadeya, Belinda, Michael and Hayden.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libby.
