Change starts at the local level

Changing politics in Washington, D.C. at this point may be very difficult, but, here at the local level people can make a difference.
Positive change needs to start at the local level and from there it can grow and work its way through the system to the top. Allowing corruption to go unchecked will eventually cause the collapse of any government, taking its people down with it.
The answer to positive change is through collective awareness. If you’re aware of your surrounding, government will have a much harder time getting away with agendas of personal and political gain.
For whatever reason, and there seems to be many, corruption is running rampant. It needs to be stopped or the future will be bleak.
