Feb. 22

• A woman on Louisiana Avenue called to report her ex-husband, against whom she has an order of protection, was driving around her block in violation of the order.

• A caller on Highway 2 reported a fire in a dumpster at the Libby Creek refuse site.

• A caller on Pioneer Road reported a car had been idling in her neighbor’s driveway for about 20 minutes. She had not talked to the neighbor about the car.

• Montana Highway Patrol requested assistance with a possible drunk driver. Deputies responded and dispatched a tow truck, a man was arrested.

• A woman on Pinewood Lane called dispatch to report someone keeps breaking into her house through the bedroom closet.

• A man on Jennings Haul Road reported someone drove through his fence and tore it down. He said he saw four-wheelers in the area earlier and was fixing the fence to prevent his horses from escaping.

• A woman on Highway 2 reported being assaulted. The responding deputy requested backup from Libby Police and proceeded to arrest a man.

• A caller on Creekwood Road reported a woman kicked in their neighbor’s door and then jumped over the fence and ran away. Deputies were unable to locate the woman.

 

Feb. 23

• A woman on Post Street reported her ex-husband took items from her residence.

• A woman on Park Street called to report the theft of items from her residence three days previously.

• A man called from an undisclosed location in Libby to report the loss of his nitro pills.

• A caller on Holly Drive reported a lot of suspicious activity across the street.

• A caller on Vicks Lane reported a man driving up and down the street on a go cart. Kids were also on the cart without helmets.

• A 22-year-old was arrested on a warrant out of Flathead County.

• A caller on Second Street reported a phone scam from Jamaica.

• A man on Spencer Road called to report his neighbor was playing music so loud his children couldn’t sleep.

 

Feb. 24

• A man came into the Sheriff’s Office to report another man for not paying him for his mobile home.

• Libby Police responded to a location on Reese Court when city workers called about possible criminal mischief.

• A 48-year-old man was arrested by Troy Police for discharging a firearm in a local store.

• A caller from Dry Rock Lane called to report a computer clean-up service scam.

• A caller on Lewis Loop reported a trespasser.

• A woman from Rustic Avenue reported a verbal domestic dispute. The woman left the residence and called from a local store. Deputies advised the woman to find a different place to stay for the evening.

• A man on Wampoo Creek Road reported someone drove up his driveway and then drove off.

• A caller from the crisis center reported receiving an obscene phone call.

• A woman on Pioneer Road reported a man came to her residence and squeezed her arm twice.

 

Feb. 25

• A woman from Dakota Avenue reported her husband threatened to burn down their house.

• A woman from Montana Avenue came into the Sheriff’s Office to have deputies look at some mail she received that might be fraudulent.

• A woman called to report the theft of her tablet from a local motel.

• A caller reported two men in a red Honda threw a beer can out of the window at a local store.

• A man on Sixth Street called to report the theft of a chainsaw.

 

Feb. 26

• A woman called requesting deputies drive through Belvue Trailer Court. She said a dog was barking non-stop and she just knew something is going on out there.

• An intoxicated man called to report his girlfriend had taken their two-year-old baby and left him. He was sure she was in the Eureka area.

• A caller near Cedar Creek called to report mountain sheep licking road salt on the Highway. Game wardens were notified.

• A local trailer court manager called to report two men who were previously evicted would not leave the trailer court.

• A local school administrator called to report a threat made via text message.

• A 32-year-old man was arrested for violating his probation.

• A property owner on Eighth Street called to report damage to a house.

• A woman came into the Sheriff’s Office to report an incident between her son and a teacher. She was referred to Libby Police.

• A man from Cherry Creek Drive reported receiving threatening texts from his ex-wife.
