Please pick up the roadkill
Road-kill wildlife is not being picked up when it is reported by city residents.
You can’t pick and choose what you pick up. It’s still dead and decomposing, smelling up the neighborhood and is a public health issue.
What’s the point of turning it in if authorities pick and choose what to pick up?
Some dead deer are easy access to pick up and some aren’t. The difficult ones need to be roped and hauled in. It’s your job.
When we call in, we give directions to where the animal is at, such as “in the tall grass a few feet from the curb,” and we assume that information is passed on to the right person. If the driver can’t see it, they need to park their vehicle and walk the area to pinpoint the location given by the reporting person.
