Carol J. Tonkyn (Sloan), 87, passed away March 9, 2015, after a long and well-lived life.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Tonkyn (Laurie) of Spokane, Wash., Paula Festa (Joseph) of Orlando, Fla., David Tonkyn (Cynthia) of Clemson, S.C., Russell Tonkyn (Jennifer) of Kennewick,Wash., John Tonkyn (Sarah) of Albany, Calif., and James Tonkyn of Troy. She is also the grandmother of seven remarkable people, Eric, Adam, Trevor, Nolan and Avery Tonkyn, Kristine Dobry and Natilee Festa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Nola Sloan, brother Robert and sister Ruth VanFossen.
She was the center of the family and her family was so fortunate for her unconditional love.
