Gerald Good

Gerald L. Good, 83, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home in Libby. He was born on Dec. 11, 1931, at Whitefish to Delois and Margaret Good. He grew up around the Bull Lake area and attended Troy schools. He started working odd jobs at the age of 13.

Gerald entered the United States Air Force on Dec. 18, 1951, and served until his honorable discharge on Dec. 1, 1955. He married Stella Martin on Oct. 22, 1963, in Portland, Ore. Gerald drove trucks, logging trucks, dump trucks, water trucks as well as operating heavy equipment for 25 years. He enjoyed reading and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Stella, sons Ed and Roy Norton, sisters Louise and Ellen and brother Joseph.

Survivors include his children, Chuck Good (Gerrie) of Kila, Geri DeShazer (Randy), Glen Good (Amy), Gary Good (Amber) and Gene Good all of Libby and Gerald Norton of Arizona; brother Dale Good of Potlatch, Idaho; sisters, Lucille Briggs (Miles) of Libby, Ruby Stapley (Norman) of Troy, Florence Drowatzky (Jack) of Pablo and Maggie Partney (Louie) and special friend and neighbor Ruby McElmurry and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
