Tribute should include entire county

Letter to the Editor:

I am sure that your first responders in south Lincoln County appreciated the six-page thank you that you gave them. I am always pleased to see our volunteers receive recognition for the outstanding service they provide to their communities.

I would like to point out paragraph three the first sentence of your article states Lincoln County and again in paragraph five you state Lincoln County, not south Lincoln County.

May I ask why the first responders volunteering in north Lincoln County were not included if this ‘thank you’ is to all of Lincoln County?

TFS and West Kootenai have volunteer fire departments. Eureka has police, fire, ambulance and CanAm Search and Rescue volunteers. All are first responders, all are within Lincoln County.

That The Western News chooses to recognize those volunteers within the Libby/Troy area is very thoughtful. I would just ask that you do not say this is a big ‘thank you’ saying that business across Lincoln County want to say ‘thank you’ and not thank all first responders across Lincoln County.
