Libby froshmore football player showed class, even after defeat
My husband and I were at the Whitefish vs. Libby froshmore football game in Whitefish on Sept. 8.
The Libby team played their hearts out. They never quit playing hard, even when the score became lopsided.
We thought that spoke well of the motivating force of the coaches. We were impressed with the overall good sportsmanship of the players.
One player, however, really stood out. We were waiting for our son to come out of the locker room as the Libby team, on their way to the bus, walked past several Whitefish players who were standing outside the locker room. Libby’s number 52 went out of his way to walk over to the Whitefish players and shake their hands.
He could have easily walked on by. What a class act. His town, school, coaches, and whoever raised him should be bursting with pride. He represented you all well.
