Oct. 1

• A woman called to report a black bear digging through her garbage on Cedar Street.

• A caller reported that a person had been in his backyard on Highway 2, leaving shed doors open and moved things around.  The man reported that similar things had happened in his neighbor’s yard.

• A caller reported a suspicious person in a black trenchcoat apparently talking to himself in the area of Louisiana Avenue.

• A man reported that he received a phone call promising $2.5 million and a BMW if he wired $380 to the caller.

Oct. 2

• Police responded to a female caller on Larch Street complaining that her husband was “going crazy” and threatened to kill her animals with his bare hands.

• Two complaints were received from individuals reporting a caller claiming to be Wells Fargo Bank asking for social security numbers.

• A woman reported catching a lab puppy in her chicken coop.  Dogs killed four of her chickens.

Oct. 3

• A caller in Troy reported suspicious persons taking property from a deceased woman’s trailer.

• Miranda Louise Wahl arrested in Troy on outstanding felony theft warrant from Yakima, Wash.

• A man reported that gas had been siphoned from both his and his neighbor’s four wheelers on Whitetail Drive in Rexford.

• A caller on Blubaugh Lane reported receiving threatening messages from stepdaughter.

• A man on Montana Avenue reported that someone put a bunch of nails behind his vehicle, issue has been ongoing for some time.

• A caller on Farm To Market Road reported a car parked very close to his house playing loud music.

• A caller in Libby reported a suspicious person attempting to buy prescription drugs from customers exiting a pharmacy.

• A Libby hotel housekeeper reported finding drug paraphernalia in a room.

• A caller on Corner Road reported a deer with a trash can stuck on its head and shoulders headed toward Shopko.

• A Libby woman reported a bear in her garbage on Cabinet Avenue.  Advised to keep garbage empty.

Oct. 4

•Police were called to a Libby motel due to a fight in progress.  Michael Mulder, 56, arrested for disorderly conduct.

• A woman reported her 10 year old child missing near Hartman Lane, child was located and reunited with his mother.

• A woman on Cedar Street reported a deer on her property acting aggressively toward her dog.

• A caller reported a male in camouflage overalls yelling and trying to beat people up near Second and Mineral.

Oct. 5

• A caller reported a deer with a trash can lid stuck on its head near Woodway Avenue. Deer was reportedly unharmed.

Oct. 6

• A cougar was reported in the area of Flower Creek Road.

• Gregory Allen Voyles arrested on outstanding warrant for criminal contempt.

Oct. 7

• Kevin Roy Kirkwood was arrested on Troy City warrant for failure to serve a previously ordered jail sentence.

• Zachary Michael Mountain was arrested in Troy on outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants.

• A caller reported a white pickup chasing mountain sheep up and down Kootenai River Road.

• A caller reported her neighbors working in their shop and making loud noises late at night.  Called back to report that they had thrown something on fire out of the shop creating three foot flames.

• A man reported that he shot a buck with a bow and arrow after it attacked his dog on Vanderwood.  Advised officers that he was tracking the buck.

• An anonymous caller reported people using fireworks near Lower Granite Creek Road.

Oct. 8

• A woman called to report that her neighbor’s dog was preventing contractors from working on her home near Farm To Market Road.

• A caller near Farm To Market Road reported finding a deer with an arrow in its hind quarter.

• A hiker was reported missing near Northfork Jackson Creek.  He was later found.

• Craig Alan Barrows, 28, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
