Bowe shows quiet integrity and genuine love for our communities

| October 31, 2014 2:20 PM

A little more than 10 years ago, while teaching at Libby High School, I witnessed something that will stay with me all the days of my life. Roby Bowe had the task of comforting the students, following the tragic death of one of their own. This student was loved by freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and the staff. Her family is well-loved in the community and we felt their loss as our own.

Bowe spoke to an auditorium full of people who were silent; stricken and grieving. You could have heard a pin drop in that gymnasium. Those kids needed someone they trusted to talk to them about dealing with loss.

Bowe spoke quietly, calmly and with great compassion. In that moment his integrity and love for our community shone through. He gave all of us, students and staff, the reassurance we needed, the strength we needed. He spoke to us as his family.

For as long as I live, Bowe will be a hero to me. I will always vote for Bowe.
