Libby needs a 'John Wayne' sheriff

| October 21, 2014 11:47 AM

Libby needs a “John Wayne” sheriff - someone who has the skills, motivation and courage to face the lawless among us.

Our published police logs are both amusing and sad, but what about the crimes never published, crimes reported but never addressed, victimized people without justice?

Do we really want Libby to be the growing safe haven for the lawless it appears to be? Our cowboy movie hero was willing to address that, willing to overcome his own fears, safety and interests for the sake of the oppressed.

Bill Clark has been “thrrough the fire” of all that’s involved with being in law enforcement. He has experienced the cost in his own human limitations and had many years to heal and evaluate the wounds involved. He is not deceived by what it will cost him, and he has the fortitude to do it again - working full time for our sakes, not needing to be concerned about monetary gain.

I would welcome change from the status quo we’ve seen over the last 10 years. I believe Bill Clark would be a “John Wayne” for this community. Please overcome your own doubts and fears and vote for Bill in November.
