Aug. 29
• A woman on Mineral Avenue reported a strange car parked behind her business under the carport. The business owner wanted to be sure that the car was not stolen before she had it towed.
• Adelita Dunham was arrested on a warrant for failure to post bond.
• A caller on Highway 2 reported someone attempting to gain access to a business through the drive through window.
• A caller on Farm to Market Road reported a black German Shepherd in the middle of the road near mile-marker No. 3.
• A cleaning lady at Libby High School reported a large group of students parking their cars around the high school late at night. The cleaning lady asked the students to leave, but they only moved to Town Pump. The lady said the kids like to drive the cars around.
• A caller near Dickey Lake Camp Ground reported the theft of a Weber compact grill.
Aug. 30
• A man reported his girlfriend made threats toward him and possibly damaged his house.
• A caller on Farm to Market Road reported a fawn was hit by a car. The fawn was severely injured in the grass across the street.
• A caller on Rabbit O’Brien Creek Road reported that his girlfriend stole his flat screen TV.
• A man near Cedar Lake reported that he and a friend were being tracked by a bear. The man said he and his friend were both unarmed and concerned for their safety. A Fish, Wildlife & Parks representative met the people out in the woods. No bears or people were injured.
• A caller reported criminal mischief at the Libby High School football game.
• A caller on Vicks Drive reported a neighbor playing music so loudly that it was impossible to sleep. This was not the first time the music was too loud at night.
• A caller on Mineral Avenue reported a man in a white shirt and blue jeans just assaulted two people.
Aug. 31
• Melvin Duane Smith, 57, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence.
• A man on Snowshoe Lane reported the theft of two pairs of keys to his motorcycle. The man wanted his keys back quickly.
• Brandon Huffman, 23, was arrested on a warrant for failure to post bond.
• A caller on River Road reported his neighbors got into a serious fight and that a woman was “beaten good.”
Sept. 1
• A mother on Parmenter Drive reported her 16-year-old son was arguing with her and punching the walls.
• A caller on Pipe Creek Road reported trouble with trespassers. He let them stay on his property during the summer, but he wants them gone now and they are refusing to leave.
• A caller reported a defaced political sign.
• Kevin Kirkwood was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
• Freedom Rose Contreras was arrested for shoplifting at Rosauers.
• A caller on California Avenue reported some aggressive dogs in the neighborhood causing problems.
• A caller on Vicks Lane reported a large pit bull chasing her children.
• A woman on East Fifth Street reported her bike stolen in the last 24 hours.
• A caller on Louisiana Avenue reported a large dog was roaming the area. The caller picked up the dog and wanted help getting it to its owner. The dog had tags and the owner was reached to reclaim his dog.
• Stephen Gary was arrested and charged with partner or family member assault.
