Prosperity forums
resume Oct. 7
The Lincoln County Community Prosperity Forums reconvene 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Medical Center Cafeteria. This Forum will explore the current state of various organizations providing health care in Lincoln County. The panel will discuss challenges and opportunities these organizations face, the benefits they bring to the community and trends for the future.
Numerous medical professionals from Lincoln County will serve as panelists. Everyone is invited to the free event.
Heritage Museum
receives grant
The Heritage Museum received $3,500 from Humanities Montana to fund “Living with Vermiculite: Personal Perspectives.”
The exhibit will show 19 video interviews and transcriptions of community members talking about the tragic losses and the restoration of hope in relation to Zonolite Vermiculite in Lincoln County.
The grant was part of a $30,000 effort to support organizations and communitiesacross Montana for programs focused on bringing the humanities to
Montana citizens, from book and film festivals to oral history projects
and significant lecture series. The next grant deadline is November 20.
Ski and Snow Swap
coming up Oct. 10
The annual Ski and Snow Swap will be held 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Oct. 10 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 11 at Asa Wood Gym. Register items for sale 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Oct. 10.
