Jean Bosch, 93, of Trout Creek

Jean Bosch, 93 of Trout Creek passed away Oct. 29, 2014, at Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in New Rockford, N.D., to Raymond and Fern Runnion. They came to Montana while she was still a baby. 

Jean married Melvin Bosch on Aug. 20, 1940 in Chinook. They spent time in that area for a while, and they moved around Montana following construction. Eventually, they ended up in Libby, from 1968 until 1978. Finally, they moved back to Trout Creek to retire.

Jean really loved spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, spending time on her flowers and doing many crafts with her daughters. She and Melvin helped get the Trout Creek Senior Center up and running, where she loved to play Bingo. She took the job as site manager for the center for many years.

Survivors include daughters Linda Keister (Art), Janis Gardener (Charlie), Karen Jopling (Gene), all of Trout Creek; Rita Handford (John) of Missoula; son Bernard Bosch (Brenda) Libby; sisters Ellen Seaman of St. Ignitius and Rita Canellare of Missoula; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-children.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Melvin; both parents; a son; three brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. at the White Pine Cemetery near Trout Creek on Nov.  8, 2014. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home.
