May 8
• Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man on charges of assault on a minor.
• A vehicle on Pipe Creek Road near mile marker 5 hit a deer.
• A woman reported that a palomino horse with a black bridal showed up in her yard on Farm to Market Road. The woman was concerned that someone might be looking for the horse.
• Kristopher Lee Stacy, 28, was arrested on a warrant and held on $500 bond.
• A drivers’ education teacher in Troy called to report an altercation with an intoxicated driver on Yaak River Road. The teacher was with two student drivers when a vehicle tailgated them, passed them and then slammed on the brakes. The man in the vehicle got out, approached the teacher’s vehicle and exhibited signs of being intoxicated. When confronted about it, the man said drunk driving is a sport in Montana.
• An anonymous caller reported that someone was racing a Camaro up on Cabinet Heights Road. This has been going on for the past several days.
• The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office took a report of missing/abducted children in Troy.
May 9
• A man was threatening the employees of a local business.
May 10
• A runaway child was reported. The family believes the child went to Spokane.
• A caller reported two girls about the age of 10 hitchhiking on Highway 2 near Whiskey Hill.
• An inmate at the Lincoln County Detention Center was kicking the door and throwing things around. The inmate had also put wet paper towels over the surveillance camera. Officers attempted to restrain the inmate, who then started tearing up his mattress. An officer went into the cell to retrieve the mattress, and the inmate threw it at the officer. This continued until officers restrained the inmate in a chair.
• A caller reported the swings at the McGrade Center are defective. One broke while a child was using it, and another one looks like it’s ready to fall apart. An officer called the school district and was told to leave a message for Superintendent Kirby Maki.
• A caller reported a large washout on the road that goes up Swede Mountain behind the old mill by the clay banks. The caller said the road was unsafe for passage and could send a vehicle into the creek nearby.
• A caller reported that a man insisted on driving after being told by medical professionals that he was unable to drive after taking multiple narcotics. Officers responded but could not locate the vehicle.
May 11
• An alarm was going off at Libby’s water treatment plant. Libby police responded but were unable to locate city officials who are responsible for the water treatment plant. The alarm eventually shut off.
• A caller reported a tall man with a sleeping bag over his shoulder was walking in and out of traffic on Highway 37 near the Kootenai bridge.
• A woman reported that she was attacked by two large dogs while walking to her residence. The owner of the dogs was notified.
• A caller reported that she would like to have a man removed from her property after an argument. Libby police responded, and the man left the residence for the evening.
May 12
• A woman called 911 after her ride did not pick her up at the train station. She said her phone would only call 911. Dispatch called her ride, who had fallen asleep, and advised that the woman needed to be picked up.
• A caller reported a missing red-colored horse on Farm to Market Road.
• A caller reported that his company was involved in a lawsuit, and the other party in the lawsuit has been leaving threatening notes on his vehicle. Eureka dispatch was advised to have an officer make contact with the offending party.
• A disturbance was reported on Idaho Avenue. A maintenance man was mowing the lawn when a tenant hit him from behind. Officers responded and diffused the situation.
• A caller reported medication was stolen from his wife’s vehicle, which was parked on Second Street Extension.
• A man called 911 to report that he had been struck by a car three times. Dispatch then received a second 911 call from a woman who said the man jumped in front of her friend’s vehicle and refused to let them leave. The man then started walking on Lewis Loop and refused medical attention when confronted by authorities.
• A man called 911 to report that he had just been shot by his son. The man was screaming and said he needed help. A neighbor called 911 to report the same incident. The suspect left the residence in a small blue Chevy.
• A caller reported finding a pink girl’s Magnum bicycle with a green seat on the walking path near Post Street.
May 13
• An 18-year-old man reported that he was having problems at Central School, where another person was trying to assault him. Libby police responded and arrested the suspect.
•Troy Dispatch received a report of a man and woman arguing in a small blue Subaru on Highway 2.
