Rodger Gentry, 63, of Troy

Rodger Steven Gentry died at his home in Troy April 22, 2014.

Rodger was born May 14, 1950 in Kansas to Rodger S. and JoAn Gentry of Vacaville, Calif. A welder and builder by trade, Rodger was a mother to us all. He loved to ride, build wonderful things out of wood and was an excellent gardener.

Rodger was married to Christina Gentry of Troy for five years, they then separated. There were no children from this union. On May 12, 1985 Rodger married Paula Gentry. They had four children and later divorced. Rodger then married Carolyn Gentry, had two daughters, and divorced.

Children include Khristafer and Paul, of Troy, Adilia (deceased), step-children Crystal and Aaron Barber of Conway, Arkansas, Tammy and Sarah. Grandchildren include Jayclin of Spokane, Wash., Haiden Gentry of Troy and Saphyra Gentry.

Cremation has taken place.

There will be a memorial potluck at Roosevelt Park at 2 p.m. May 14, 2014, what would have been Rodger’s 64th birthday.

Rodger will be missed by all.
