Robert L. Mullen, 68, of Troy

Robert L. Mullen, 68, passed away peaceful at his home in Troy on May 5, 2014.

Bob was born July 18, 1945, in Chicago to Lawrence and Opal Mullen. They moved to Troy in early 1950. He grew up at Throop Lake which his dad bought in 1955. Bob went to school and graduated from Troy High School in 1963.

He then headed to Seattle, Wash. to work for Jonas Bros Taxidermy where he worked until being drafted into the Army in 1966.

He was stationed in Germany for his two year enlistment. Upon his discharge from the Army he returned to Troy where he fulfilled his dream of owning and operating his own taxidermy business until his retirement in 2009.  

Bob loved life, especially time spent with family and friends whom he treasured deeply. He thoroughly enjoyed his work in taxidermy. He also loved hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Mullen of Troy; a son, Jeff Mullen of Hillsboro, Ore.; a daughter, Angie Mullen of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a brother, David Mullen of Everett, Wash.; and a sister, Lorna Seiliaggi of Seattle, Wash.  

Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
