May 2
• A woman in a pre-release facility called the Libby Police Department to ask for a welfare check on her 3-year-old daughter who lives with another woman in a Libby apartment complex. The caller had not heard from her daughter since October, and when she called the known residence of her daughter’s caregiver, she learned that the phone line had been disconnected. Police determined the woman who was taking care of the child had moved to a different apartment in the same complex.
• The person responsible for a local motel reported that a woman had rented a room from April 22-25 and was still staying in the room. The woman had said she was waiting for an unemployment check. The caller was wondering what could be done to get the woman to pay her bill.
• A 16-year-old girl fell on the stairway inside the Central School building and was complaining about rib and hip pain. An ambulance transported her to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
• A man called dispatch to report that a woman who lives in his neighborhood was harassing him by revving the engine of her vehicle and pointing at him.
• A driver hit a deer on Bull Lake Road.
• The man who reported a woman was threatening him called 911 again to report that the woman was back home. The man said he saw the woman in her garage with a rifle.
• Someone called 911 to report that trees were in the power lines and power lines were in the road on Cherry Creek Drive. Flathead Electric was called to respond.
• A woman called dispatch to report that her ex-husband stole her gun about two weeks ago.
• A woman reported that her husband had struck a deer while driving on Highway 37 near Mac’s Market.
• Someone called to report that a man was outside pounding nails near Dakota Avenue at 10:30 p.m.
• Libby police cited an individual for violating city ordinance on Ninth Street.
May 3
• A man reported that he struck a deer while driving on Highway 37 near 10 Mile Creek.
• A 26-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at the Town Pump in Troy.
• A woman requested a deputy at her residence because her soon-to-be ex is making threats and will not give her any of her property, including the vehicle, so she can’t leave. The woman later left the residence and met with deputies. She was allowed to retrieve some items from the residence, and both parties were separated for the day.
• A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Spokane Avenue in Troy after a report of a disturbance.
• A woman reported that a vehicle almost hit her 6-year-old daughter at the intersection of California Avenue and Highway 2 and then made a rude comment. The woman declined to sign a complaint.
• A vehicle struck a deer on Highway 93.
• Someone called to report that a sign was stolen from a jobsite in the Northwood/Edgewater neighborhood.
• A 29-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant regarding charges of possession of dangerous drugs and burglary. Bond was set at $10,000.
• A man reported that someone had loosened the lug nuts on both of his front tires while his vehicle was parked at the Troy weigh station.
• A man reported that another man was driving a truck in the wrong lane and almost ran him off the road. The caller said he followed the truck to a driveway, where the other man brandished a pistol. Deputies responded and spoke with both men.
• A woman reported that someone was shining a green laser pointer through her rear window while she was driving on Central Avenue.
• Someone called to report that there was a woman passed out on some type of drug in a house on Montana Avenue. Residents of the house were refusing to take the woman to a hospital. An ambulance was sent to the residence and the woman was taken to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
May 4
• A woman reported that she had been assaulted and wanted to speak with a deputy.
• A caller reported an assault that had occurred the previous night while walking home from work.
• A 28-year-old man was arrested on a Flathead County warrant and transferred to Flathead County.
• A woman reported that a man had assaulted her niece the previous night and again the next day.
• A 57-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after several people reported that he was seen crashing his bike several times and then throwing it into the parking lot of a hotel in Libby. The man also threw his bike onto Highway 2 near Rosauers. The bike was confiscated by Libby police.
