Troy softball drops pair in Eureka

Troy’s Lady Trojans dropped a pair of makeup games at home on Tuesday. The bats did their jobs, combining to score 19 runs during the two games.

In the first game, Troy was led by Caitlin Johnston, who went 2-4. Baylee Burk drove in two runs and Kylee Carr chipped in two hits as well. Troy lost, 23-8.

Every Troy batter produced at least one hit during the second game. Leadoff batter Tana Thill set the table for the middle of the order with a pair of hits, including a double. Troy batters Johnston, Mariah Britton and Rebecca Rotolo each had three RBI. Troy fell, 21-11.

The Lady Trojans (2-8, 2-10) travel to Loyola on Saturday.
